Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 Engine and Fuel Economy

Wondering what powers the AT35? This model uses a 1.9 litre turbo diesel engine developing 164PS, paired with a six speed automatic gearbox. According to the Isuzu brochure, it reaches 62mph from rest in 13.0 seconds and has a top speed of 112mph. Combined WLTP fuel economy is quoted at 31.38mpg, with a 76 litre fuel tank. Actual fuel consumption can vary depending on your route, driving style, weather and vehicle load.

For buyers using their pickup for business, load space matters as much as driving capability. The AT35 has a load bed measuring 1,520mm in length, 1,530mm in width and 500mm in depth. There is more to the AT35 than its adventurous styling. Its driver assistance equipment includes autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring and traffic sign recognition. Lane keep assist, intelligent adaptive cruise control and rear cross traffic alert with braking also support everyday driving. Front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera are particularly useful when manoeuvring a pickup of this size. For passengers, safety equipment includes multiple airbags and two rear ISOFIX child seat positions with top tether anchors. These features assist the driver rather than replacing attentive driving.
